![]() For me that wait was worth it, but nonetheless that 2008 aluminum MacBook was a good machine. When that MacBook came out, I was sooooo tempted, but decided to wait another year. It's essentially the 2009 13" MacBook Pro, but without Firewire and the backlit keyboard, and with a slower CPU. The same applies to the 2008 Macbook Pro. ![]() ![]() You would need to either buy the Snow Leopard upgrade CD from Apple and then get El Capitan from the App Store, or else get someone you know with a Mac to download El Capitan and make a USB install drive for you. A thing to keep in mind if you get this model is that it originally shipped with 10.5 Leopard, which didn't include the Mac App Store. AFAIK, this is the first Macbook with DDR3, and the oldest model that supports the latest OS.
